I love November's birth stone, the Citrine. I love that it comes in a variety of colors from light yellow to Fanta orange to chocolate brown. It is also, BTW, the traditional gemstone associated with 13th anniversaries. But you don't have to be born in November, or even be married, to adore this gem as I do.
This set of ten approx. 5 carat stones have an ombre range from ginger honey to amber whiskey, to light chocolate toffee color. The stones are heated, VS clarity and fancy cushion cut, measuring 11 X 11 X 7.5 mm each for a total of 51.85 carats of deep earthy Citrine! They were mined in Africa, and have a gorgeous luster.
My plan was to have a jeweler set 8 in a stunning yellow gold necklace, and keep 2 for matching earrings. But my best-laid plans never materialized, and this exquisite set needs to grace someone's neck or wrist rather than my drawer. Sigh.
I am storing the stones in a dust-free display box which will come with the set.
