Forget about the cheap imitations and new bags listed as "vintage" with their faux distressed leather - this messenger/book bag is true vintage and puts all others to shame! Handcrafted of thick saddle leather with suede interior, this piece has aged beautifully: the weathered leather has a glossy patina and tons of character. This bag is extremely well crafted, with rivets at stress points so you may fill the bag with anything without fear of it breaking. Both these and the hardware are silver (which is tarnished after 60 years of use.)
Both the large and roomy main compartment and front pocket are underneath the flap, and there are pockets on either end with buckle closures. Top handle with adjustable shoulder strap (which may be removed.) Silver hardware.
